How often do I need to re-certify in WHMIS?
The primary objective of the WHMIS training program is to ensure that workers understand the hazards of the materials they are exposed to, and the measures they should take to protect themselves. In order to achieve this objective, instructors must be knowledgeable of the processes and hazards of the workplace, and the WHMIS requirements.
The WHMIS program must be reviewed at least once a year in consultation with workers.
